Kangana replaced by Huma for Dedh Ishqiya
The latest from the sets of Dedh Ishqiya is the news about Kangana Ranaut being replaced by Huma Qureshi. In case, you have already started knitting a story let me clarify that it ain’t because of any personal clashes between Kangana and the makers of Dedh Ishqiya. Kangana had to take the decision about leaving the movie owing to a clash in the shooting schedule.
As per the sources, Kangana had already been signed for the movie however her dates were clashing with Sai Kabir’s next. “Earlier Kangs was signed for the film but there was a problem regarding her dates that were overlapping with the ones for Sai Kabir’s next. Kangna Ranaut could not accommodate Vishal’s film”, revealed a close source. Kangana tried altering her schedule so that she could give time to both the films but in vain and with a heavy heart she called it quits for Dedh Ishqiya. It has been said that Kangana had been signed for the movie long back and was quite excited about the project, especially owing to the rave reviews received by the movie’s prequel. However, as much keen as she was on doing Dedh Ishqiya, things couldn’t work out for her.
Apparently, Kangana’s loss has been Huma’s gain and the lucky lady is eagerly looking forward to start shooting for the movie. This is not the first time that Huma would be working with Vishal Bhardwaj. She has already worked under his banner for the movie, Ek Thi Daayan. If sources are to be believed, amongst other factors, the dedication shown by Huma while shooting for Ek Thi Daayan has helped her grab the offer that also saw Richa Chadda as a strong contender.
Dedh Ishiya is being directed by Abhishek Chaubey who is all ready with the script and expecting the shooting to start from the 18th of February.
